The first time I was exposed to the idea of sustainability was through learning about the global coffee trade. During this time, I learned that ‘Fair Trade’ was often nothing more than a marketing tactic. I realized that my daily cup of coffee was more than just a morning buzz, it was the story of people’s livelihoods. It could mean the difference between a community that thrived or survived to serve a cup of joe. Since then, I've taken this realization further and I am dedicated to advocating for and pursuing sustainable business practices that help people and communities thrive.

When I think about sustainability in business, I think about being driven by the long-term wellbeing of the people who work in the business as well as who the business serves. The values and the people that make up Mission Law serve to make this pursuit possible. As a Business Ops Manager for Mission Law, I am lucky that I get to do what I enjoy at a place that upholds these values. Moreover, I’m able to support a dedicated team of legal professionals that take pride in what they do and who they do it for. If more people are given the opportunity to combine their profession, vocation, purpose, and passion, I believe the world will benefit.
